Sherri Gunn Wilkins has over 20 years experience as a Registered Canadian Reflexology Therapist. Her passion for reflexology continues to grow and inspires her to get involved where ever and whenever she can. From 2003 to 2012, Sherri was on the Manitoba Chapter Board of Directors and was the President for 7 of those years. She also worked at the Reflexology Association of Canada for 14 years. During this time, she held many positions, including the education coordinator and led the process to revise the 2017 Foot Reflexology Manual.
Sherri has always enjoyed helping people and learning about the body. Taking anatomy and physiology courses in university fueled her desire to learn more about the workings of the body, but she struggled to find a career that would be both enjoyable and apply this knowledge. Upon completion of her 4-year liberal arts university degree, she worked in a group home for children. As rewarding as the work was, she still wanted to pursue a career in the healing arts. A message therapist friend suggested she take a reflexology course to help build a clientele as she went into massage school. From the moment Sherri started learning reflexology, she absolutely fell in love with it and has not stopped learning, practicing and teaching reflexology since.
Her passion for reflexology and her sense of curiosity motivated her to become certified in hand, ear and face reflexology. In 2012, she began teaching and now teaches foot, hand and ear reflexology. In 2018 she became a Trainer, training people to become a foot, hand, and ear reflexology teacher.
In her ongoing quest for knowledge, Sherri has take reflexology courses from world renowned speakers such as Patryck Aguilar (Spain), Beryl Crane (UK), Inge Dougans (South Africa), Dorthe Krogsgaard and Peter Lund Frandsen (Denmark), and Lilian Morten (USA). Sherri applies what she has learned in these courses to create a unique and beneficial reflexology treatment that her clients love.
As a teacher of foot, hand and ear reflexology, Sherri brings a high level of professionalism and enthusiasm to the classroom. She is always adding and modifying her courses to ensure the students get the most out of each course and are being taught the most up to date information. She prides herself on mentoring her students to help them become knowledgeable and confident therapists.
As a Manitoba Chapter Board Member, Sherri hopes to motivate and encourage the other Chapter members to become successful and create a strong community of reflexology therapists.
